On May 7th, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced they will prosecute Immigrants who enter the US undocumented and during prosecution will routinely separate Children (650-700 so far) from parents or guardians. We believe it is okay for Immigrants who come to the border and ask for asylum legally should be vetted and examined, but not at the expense of being separated from their children. We believe while being vetted and examined Parents and children can and should be able to stay together.
